The restart of in-person education by Sobel University will wait a little longer.
The education center announced in April it would bring in-person training back with its Comprehensive Sales Course in October. On Thursday, Sobel University announced that the course would move to a virtual platform.
The course is scheduled to run Oct. 18-22.
“Dealers have expressed concern over health-related staffing issues that come from cross country travel,” said Jered Sobel, vice president of Sobel University. “Over the last month and in the coming weeks, dealer groups have postponed or canceled in-person national meetings. This change to the virtual format for the October class follows current industry practices while allowing everyone to learn in a safe environment.”
The Comprehensive Sales Courses have provided salespeople the skills needed to help RV consumers since 1991. Curriculum is adjusted each year to help the modern consumer, Sobel University said, helping the course remain current and relevant the past 30 years. Students will be in a live, interactive virtual classroom for eight hours each day with homework every night and exams every day.
“The virtual trainings we have done over the last year have received incredibly positive feedback on their ability to help salespeople perform at a higher level,” Jered Sobel said. “This change allows more salespeople and managers to attend from across the country and kick the bad habits they’ve developed from this unique marketplace.”
Sobel University earlier this year announced in-person education in Atlanta from Nov. 29-Dec. 3 and in Tacoma, Washington, from Dec. 6-10. There was no additional news on the status of those courses.
Special contract pricing is available for virtual three- and five-day courses. Students will earn full credits toward their Sobel University certifications. Pre-registration is required to ship materials for each student. To learn more visit sobeluniversity.com or call 253-565-2577.
