In-person classes have emphatically resumed, according to a statement released by the RV specific sales and management training school, Sobel University. After dealing with economic restrictions, including hotel and travel limitations, the school is reporting demand for in-person classes has exceeded early 2020 levels.
Randy Sobel, Sobel University founder and industry expert, said over half of his dealer clients have mentioned Zoom fatigue.
“One dealer I spoke with recently shared how he believes that a single five-day, in-person class was able to teach more than independent virtual learning had in an entire year,” Sobel said.
It makes sense, according to Sobel.
“If you want to quickly and thoroughly learn a foreign language like French, you move to France,” Sobel said. “The concept is the same across all topics, immersing yourself in it will allow you to pick it up faster.”
Sobel University’s five-day courses include 8-12 hours per day of instructional training with homework, testing and certification. The courses are aimed at challenging a range of salespeople with different experience and offered at multiple skill levels.
Jered Sobel, Sobel University president, said the students in the comprehensive sales courses role play situations, allowing for immersion into the sales language.
“The results of the immersion are repeatedly measured with salespeople returning to the dealership with a demonstrable increase in sales skills,” Jered Sobel said.
