Barely a week after Lippert released details about its flexible solar awning, a tech startup called Eco-dynamic said it would showcase its rollable solar awning June 17 at a Caravaning exhibition in Beijing.
Eco-dynamic is a tech-driven company based in Buffalo Grove, Ill. The awning is called the Artpiece for RV 1000W. The company said the awning is colored, motorized and rollable. The solar panels generate 1,000 watts of solar power and 8,000 watt-hours of electricity.
The awning replaces fabric with a material integrating rollable, flexible HJT solar modules. Eco-dynamic said its Kalaflex technology imbues the solar cells with vibrant, colorful patterns that never fade.
According to Michael Soon, company VP of business development: “Solar product should not just be practical equipment. It can also be a shining piece of art. With our expertise in the solar industry for over 20 years, we are dedicated to integrating aesthetic creativity into the design of sustainable solar solutions for outdoors and households, enhancing the experience of customers to the next level.”
An electric motor extends the awning by remote. The awning includes integrated LED lights to illuminate night camping sites.
Eco-dynamic said the awning’s weight and component/motor needs require professional installation. The company’s website said RV service providers and local installation teams have expressed interest in becoming installers and Eco-dynamic is working to collaborate with them.
“Artpiece is our first product line,” Soon said. “and now also the one and only solar solution with colorful patterns worldwide.”
