RV business expert John Spader will deliver a continuation/follow-up workshop to one he offered a year ago during the 2023 RVDA Convention/Expo in the dealer/GM track.

The 2023 Convention/Expo takes place Nov. 6-10 at Paris Las Vegas.

Spader’s session, titled “Reset and Renew, Phase 2” runs from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Nov. 7. The workshop will examine strategies to continue to help dealerships recover from the pandemic’s effects and reset their business model to a new marketplace.

During the workshop, attendees will learn:

  • A review of the Phase 1 checklist from last year; how did the industry do and how did attendees’ dealerships respond?
  • Role clarity, especially for the leadership and management roles during this evolution.
  • Inventory management; what is different now versus the past, what is the same, and what are the important metrics for success in the next few years?
  • What is one of the key metrics for the current times many dealers are not monitoring or managing? Learn how this key measure, when used correctly, can make the department managers come together as a team.
  • What are the critical few questions, and corresponding management actions, to manage in your dealership and ensure both financial foundation and culture are stable for the industry’s continuing evolution.

Spader is president of Spader Business Management. He is among the primary instructors of the popular Total Management Workshop offered by his company, and presents various other workshops and seminars related to business management.
