Starcraft RV and Highland Ridge RV have launched solar packages named Xtend Solar Power Systems. The packages offer various solar power levels and are offered on all RVs made by both brands.
The Xtend Solar packages offer true boondocking capabilities, the companies said, enabling owners to experience the outdoors untethered.
“We are pleased to now offer solar options across the entirety of the product lines,” said Brion Brady, vice president of sales – Starcraft RV and Highland Ridge RV. “Owners continue to see the value of solar power systems and the benefit it offers to travel without the need to be connected to shore power.”
The Xtend Solar I Package includes a factory-installed 200-watt solar panel and a 30-amp digital PWN solar controller. The package is available on Starcraft’s Autumn Ridge, Super Lite, Super Lite Maxx and Starcraft GSL travel trailers. The package also is available Highland Ridge’s Open Range Conventional, Range Lite, Mesa Ridge S-Lite, Light and Range Lite Air travel trailers.
The Xtend Solar II Package includes two 200-watt solar panels, either a 30-amp MPPT or digital PWM solar controller and a 1,800-watt inverter. The package is available on Starcraft’s Super Lite and Starcraft GSL travel trailers and GSL Light Duty and GSL fifth wheels. The package also is available on Highland Ridge’s Range Lite, Mesa Ridge S-Lite and Light, Open Range, Mesa Ridge and Silverstar travel trailers and its Open Range, Mesa Ridge, Silverstar, Roamer, Mesa Ridge XLT, Silverstar XLT, Roamer Light Duty, Mesa Ridge Light Duty and Silverstar Light Duty fifth wheels.
The companies said adding a manufacturer-installed solar power system ensures no warranty issues relating to aftermarket solar outfitting.
“With added safety, innovation and monitoring features,” the companies said, “it allows owners to enjoy their next off-grid adventure and have the extra freedom that solar power provides.”
