Storyteller Overland unveiled its new features and upgrades for its industry-leading Mode Type B RV adventure van lineup.
The 2024 Mode lineup includes a more robust M-Power Energy System, powered by Lithionics, to extend the range and further enhance the experiences of its growing community of adventurers and digital nomads everywhere.
The Classic Mode comes standard with a single lithium-ion battery version of the new M-Power system. The system will provide a similar output range to all previous generation Modes. However, a new 16,800-watt-hour lithium-ion dual battery system will provide ability to run onboard systems—such as air conditioning, fridges, induction cooktops, microwaves and power outlets—for extended periods of time.
Adding to this extended power range on all Mode trim levels is a new alternator design able to rapidly charge batteries at lower RPMs.
Storyteller’s design and engineering teams reimagined numerous interior elements to infuse lighter, more sustainable materials selections, reducing weight and creating greater payload capacity. The changes also boost fuel efficiency. Mode’s redesigned galley adds interior aisle space between the galley and the GrooveLounge.
The 2024 Mode lineup comes with a new premium bi-layer mattress. Mode motorhomes add Electric Assist Heat on the HVAC. The system works hand in hand with the Rixen hydronic heating system to provide warmth in colder climates. Storyteller also refined its interior soft goods and bug screens to make them easier to deploy and stow away.
Storyteller’s flagship adventure van, The Beast Mode, has several new interior and exterior features, such as the Mode-ular soft goods organization and storage system and the nVader Rack System by Flarespace, which is standard on Stealth, Mystic and Beast Modes. The rack system eases transporting bikes, skis and more.
Finally, all Beast Modes will include a large Owl Vans rear storage box, new Owl Vans side ladders and custom Owl Vans driver’s and passenger side running boards.
