Lubrication Specialties (LSI), manufacturer of Hot Shot’s Secret, promoted Josh Steinmetz to Hot Shot’s Secret brand manager.

Since Steinmetz joined LSI in 2019, he quickly gained work responsibilities, LSI said.

First, he worked as digital marketing manager, then was promoted to e-commerce and digital marketing manager.

In his capacity as brand manager, Steinmetz will develop and define the long-term brand vision and strategy for Hot Shot’s Secret performance and preventative maintenance additives, oils, and fluids, LSI said. He will direct the brand’s messaging, goals and promise.

As brand manager, he will oversee all brand messaging, packaging and media buys, and provide input on new product development for diverse markets.

“Josh has been with LSI for three years and has extensive knowledge and experience in the diesel world,” LSI President Brett Tennar said. “His engineering degree from The Ohio State University and his passion for farm and agriculture equipment makes him a great fit for the brand manager role.”

Steinmetz has a background in marketing strategy, social media, advertising and creative production, content creation, website development, photography and videography. LSI said he increasingly contributed to branding in addition to his e-commerce and digital duties.

“This is a dream job for me, one that I feel is tailor-made for my strengths and interests,” Steinmetz said. “I look forward to building the Hot Shot’s Secret brand into a household name that transcends our entrenched diesel market.”

Tennar said the brand manager position was a new role at the company and LSI was excited to have Steinmetz in the position.

“We look to develop talent from within whenever possible and Josh naturally grew into this role and proved his abilities and desire for this important position,” Tennar said.
