DJI, a drone and camera supplier, released its first portable power stations. The power stations are available in two versions: the Power 1,000 and the Power 500.
DJI Senior Director of Corporate Strategy Christina Zhang said, “We hope that the DJI Power series can further improve the outdoor experience by eliminating power consumption anxiety.”
The Power 1,000 has a 1,024-watt-per-hour battery capacity, weighs 28.6 pounds and can generate 2,220 watts. The Power 500 has a 512-watt-per-hour battery capacity, weighs 16 pounds and generates 1,000 watts.
The Power 500’s dual 100-watt USB-C two-way ports can power two devices separately. The Power 1,000’s 140-watt USB-C output ports can quickly charge computers.
If a sudden power outage occurs, the devices connected to the power station will retain power within less than a second after the outage.
Each device can be fully charged in 70 minutes. The devices can be charged through power sockets, solar panels, cars or USB-C cords.
The supplier implemented safety features within the power stations. The DJI Power 1,000 and 500 received 26 third-party test certifications. The product’s Intelligent Battery Management System is built with cells having a 10-year lifespan, temperature sensors and are fuse/flame retardant.
