Sevna released a new composite cab to accommodate RVs, among other vehicles.
The Sevna Composite Cabs are made from lightweight composite materials. The cab’s interior is 6 feet, 3 inches tall. Wide windows enhance visibility. Integrated driver controls and customized software provide separate data and display enhancements. The cab includes a rear solid panel or a cutout for cargo or passenger compartments.
Sevna CEO Mike Schoeffler said the supplier customizes cabs tailored to manufacturers’ specific requirements.
“Sevna’s composite cab provides endless custom configurations, lightweight construction, enhanced visibility, driver ergonomics and ease of maintenance,” Schoeffler said, “truly transforming the EV fleet experience.”
A Composite Cabs’ prototype was built on Harbinger Motors’ electric vehicle (EV) chassis. Thor Industries invested in Harbinger’s chassis and received the first chassis in March.
Schoeffler said, “We are thrilled to partner with Harbinger and showcase our innovative, nimble cab design on one of the premier electric chassis in the commercial vehicle market.”
The company expects to begin initial cab production in December 2024.
