Solar power supplier Jackery released its Solar Generator Mars Bot this week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The robot won Time magazine’s Best Inventions of 2003 award.
The Solar Generator Mars Bot features foldable photovoltaic panels are positioned at the top. When expanded, these solar wings boast a 600-watt output and a 25% maximum solar conversion efficiency.
The robot’s design was inspired by the Mars rover Opportunity. The Solar Generator Mars Bot is equipped with an Automatic Sunflower Solar Tracker system. The system enables the robot to autonomously navigate towards areas with strong light to create photovoltaic power generation.
The robot is constructed from high-strength, impact-resistant engineering waterproof and dustproof aluminum alloy.

In addition to the Solar Generator Mars Bot, Jackery also highlighted its Solar Generator for Rooftop Tent. The tent provides up to 6,000-watt-hours of power, enough for one-day overlanding and a two-week outdoor life, the supplier said.
The tent’s solar power can charge appliances such as coffee makers, electric blankets, projectors and mobile phones.
