2025 Mantis

Taxa Outdoors will out RV updates and brand-new products in the new model year.

The manufacturer enhanced the Mantis and Woolly Bear travel trailers with 2025 updates. The improvements include enriched off-grid power solutions, customizable lighting and increased storage.

Taxa additionally released its first rooftop tents: the MoonMoth Clamshell and the MoonMoth Foldout.

Taxa Outdoors’ 2025 models are expected to be available on dealers’ lots in spring 2025.

The manufacturer said it is gaining overlanding market share. According to Statistical Survey, Inc., Taxa totaled 24% of overlanding unit sales in 2023.

Taxa Chief Design Officer Garrett Finney said, “Our goal is for folks to spend most of their time exploring nature and return to a basecamp that has been thoughtfully crafted to support their adventures.”

Mantis

The 2025 Mantis features a redesigned layout, with a third seating option and flexible seats in the back of the vehicle with 3.5-inch cushions. Taxa expanded under-bed storage and redesigned storage towers. Bluetooth-controlled LEDs light the RV. A Victron Energy battery monitor system provides battery oversight. The kitchen was additionally redesigned.

The Mantis sleeps four adults. The trailer has a 4,000-pound GVWR. The Mantis measures 7.5 feet wide and 19 feet long. The RV includes a 20-gallon freshwater tank and a 22-gallon grey water tank.

Woolly Bear

The Woolly Bear

The Woolly Bear travel trailer includes a full outdoor kitchen, storage systems, a pull-out cooler drawer and an elevated roof platform where a two to three-person tent can be set up.

The 2025 updates include improved kitchen storage systems with an anti-scratch and rust-proof base. The Woolly Bear has quick-disconnect awning brackets and shore power connectivity. A sliding tray provides space for a power station. Consumers control LED lights via Bluetooth and a mobile app.

The trailer has a 2,100-pound GVWR. The Woolly Bear measures 11 feet long and 5.5 feet wide. The RV sleeps two to three adults.

MoonMoth Clamshell

MoonMoth Clamshell Rooftop Tent

Taxa’s MoonMoth Clamshell is an aluminum hard-shell rooftop tent. Two to three people can sleep on a 2-inch-thick foam mattress. According to Taxa, setup takes a minute or less.

The rooftop tent is compatible with the Woolly Bear series and most vehicles.

The rooftop tent features weather-resistant materials, ventilation windows and a panoramic view. The MoonMoth Clamshell includes a ladder, mattress, shoe bag, LED lights and a mounting bracket.

MoonMoth Foldout

The MoonMoth Foldout is an aluminum foldout tent that sleeps two to three adults. According to Taxa, setup takes one minute.

The MoonMoth Foldout is compatible with Taxa’s Mantis, TigerMoth and Woolly Bear as well as most vehicles.

The rooftop tent features a 2-inch foam mattress, weather resistant material, ventilation windows and panoramic views. The product comes with a ladder, mattress, shoe bag and mounting bracket.
