The Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) appointed three new board of directors. The new board members are Thor Industries Vice President of Marketing Renee Jones, Jenner & Block Native American Law Practice co-chair Charles W. Galbraith and global chief people consultant and certified executive coach Chandria Harris.
ORR President Jessica Wahl Turner said, “As we continue to build momentum for the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act in Congress, their insights and guidance will be invaluable in advocating for policies that support outdoor recreation, access and the outdoor recreation industry nationwide.”
Jones brings more than two decades of marketing experience to ORR. She has developed and executed communication strategies, managed corporate partnerships and led strategic marketing/public relations efforts across various companies including Macy’s Department Stores, Mars and Spectrum Brands.
Galbraith is a Navajo Nation citizen and brings nearly 20 years of experience in Native American law and public policy. As Jenner & Block Native American Law Practice co-chair, he represents tribal clients. His previous roles include assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Arizona. He also served in the White House under former President Barack Obama, where he managed relationships with all tribal governments and Native American people, advising on legal, legislative, media and political issues.
As a global chief people consultant, certified executive coach and certified career services provider, Harris brings inclusion practices and recruiting/retention strategies. According to ORR, she has a passion for alleviating workplace belongingness and productivity barriers.
Frank Hugelmeyer, former RVIA president and current ORR Board of Directors chairman, said, “Their passion for the outdoors and their unique perspectives and experiences build on the work ORR is doing to expand the industry and help ensure access to outdoor recreational opportunities for every American.”
