Truma is partnering with Thor Motor Coach to equip Thor’s Type B camper vans for year-round camping.
The Truma Combi, a furnace and water heater, is standard on all Sequence, Tellaro, Sanctuary and Tranquility models as well as the Rize 18M and Scope 18M models.
Bob Yessa, Truma’s technical sales representative, said the appliance enables manufacturers to rethink what is possible in a floorplan. He also called the product the most efficient and reliable system on the market.
While the Combi’s furnace keeps the inside of the camper warm, the built-in water tank provides hot water to the coach even when the furnace is not running.
Gerhard Hundsberger, Truma North America CEO, said the season for RVing has extended past summer months, creating a need for innovative vehicle design and utility of use.
“We are now seeing motorized RVs becoming a more popular mode of travel all year long, rather than two or three times in the summer,” Hundsberger said. “These vehicles are opening up a wide array of possibilities for their owners only limited by their imaginations.”
