Torklift has launched its annual Turkey Challenge, a food drive supporting families in need during the Thanksgiving season. The event is being held after a two-year pause.
The Turkey Challenge, in its 12th year, is a partnership between Torklift and Kent United Methodist Church. Through volunteers’ and donors’ collective efforts, the initiative provided Thanksgiving meals to countless families.
The Turkey Challenge began Sept. 29 and will continue through Nov. 3 as food and monetary donations are collected. On Nov. 6, donations will be delivered to the Kent Food Bank.
Torklift President Jack Kay said, “We are very excited to bring back the Turkey Challenge in partnership with Kent United Methodist Church. “We are passionate about this event and hope that with the partnership with Kent United Methodist Church, we are able to make even more of an impact in the community.”
Torklift’s website and social media channels will host Turkey Challenge updates, including weekly collection updates.
