The Kent, Washington, Turkey Challenge amassed 2,750 pounds of food and $12,411 in donations for families in need.
Torklift Central, a towing supplier, and Kent United Methodist Church collaborated on this year’s campaign. The 12th annual event lasted from Sept. 29 to Nov. 3.
The top monetary donors included Torklift, which collected $8,385; Eberle Vivian, $1,961; and Shannon & Associates, $1,190.
The top food donors were Grass Lake Elementary, with 968 items compiled; Kent CrossFit, with 956; and Kent Methodist Church with 310.
Jasmyne Faborito, Torklift marketing director, said the company was grateful for the generosity.
“This is the comeback year for the Turkey Challenge,” she said. “We are looking forward to what we can achieve in 2025 to make an even greater impact.”
Donations were delivered to the Kent Food Bank, which joined local groups in distributing funds.
