A new accessory from a Lithuania-based supplier enables RV tracking to combat vehicle theft.
Monimoto, a tracking device supplier, has historically created tracking motorcycles and powersports vehicle devices. Monimoto is expanding its services to the RV market with the Monimoto 9.
The Monimoto 9, housed inside a weatherproof casing, can be hidden within a vehicle. The device includes a movement sensor and tracks the vehicle’s location through GPS.
The Monimoto 9 is linked to a key fob. The consumer carries the key fob to validate when they move the vehicle. When the tracker detects the key fob nearby, the device will be disarmed.
When the tracker detects unauthorized movement, consumers are alerted through a phone call. Alerts also are available through the Monimoto app. The app provides location data consumers can share with authorities to locate a vehicle.
The Monimoto 9 device is 1.5 inches wide, 3.5 inches long and weighs 6 ounces. The device has an Ingress Protection (IP)68 rating. The tracker’s 3.7-volt lithium battery is rechargeable. In typical conditions, the device’s battery can last up to 12 months.
The Monimoto 9 tracks RVs, trailers and more. The tracker operates in most places where fourth-generation (4G) and fifth-generation (5G) cellular networks are available.
The device includes a two-year warranty.
