The National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) created a dedicated, stand-alone studio to produce training videos, commercials and talk shows for students.
After the school moved the RV inspector classroom into a new building earlier this month, the old building was converted to an audio-video studio. The building includes a permanent noise-controlled studio with professional lighting and sound equipment, in addition to housing office space.
The new studio replaces a smaller studio in the schoolhouse on the other side of campus. The marketing team will also move to the new studio building to use the new production equipment.
Moving the studio enabled additional staff to work collaboratively on the same floor of the primary training facility, said Tony Flammia, NRVTA sales and marketing director. Flammia said the change also created a larger, state-of-the-art studio for the marketing team to create resources.
The studio is set up to accommodate four different sets, including a green screen for video editing. High-resolution photography can be captured at the studio. The building was equipped with fiber optic internet throughout the building to host live Zoom calls and other interactive meetings.
“In addition to our weekly tech tip Tuesday videos,” Flammia said, “we will be using the studio to produce training videos for RV technicians and inspectors to view in order to attain continuing education credits and maintain certifications.”
Flammia said the team will reshoot the home-study course materials later this year.
“We are also planning to create several talk show-style news programs,” Flammia said.
RV manufacturers, suppliers and other firms can schedule studio time to produce their own training or promotional materials.
