Camping World will acquire Travelcamp RV, a 12-store regional dealership group in the Southeast.
The deal is expected to close in the next 90 days, with the acquired stores transitioning to Camping World’s brand.
Camping World said the deal solidified the dealership group’s standing at the No. 1 dealer in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
Camping World Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis said, “This acquisition establishes our presence in new markets and strengthens our position in existing markets. We were attracted to Travelcamp’s focus on affordably priced RV segments, particularly with two top manufacturers. After closing, we anticipate these locations to be primarily stocked with either Thor or Forest River products.”
Camping World’s acquisition includes Florida stores in Melbourne, Orange Park, Pinellas Park, Jacksonville, Brooksville, Clermont and Ocala; a store in Griffin, Georgia; North Carolina stores in Greenville and Statesville; a store in Rock Hill, South Carolina and one in Lewisville, Texas.
“We continue to be focused on our goal to increase our dealership count to over 320 locations over the next five years,” Lemonis said, “through a combination of acquisitions, new store openings, and manufacturer exclusive locations.”
