Truma North America is the first corporate partner to support the Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department’s new “Adopt-a-Park” program.
The company pledged to volunteer time and resources to maintain and beautify High Dive Park in Elkhart, Indiana.
Truma North America President and CEO Gerhard Hundsberger first announced the High Dive Park sponsorship during the company’s 10th anniversary party in September. To commemorate the milestone and celebrate this new partnership, each attendee received a specially designed coffee mug depicting the park in Truma’s signature blue.
The High Dive Park mug is to be the first in a series. Truma will produce a collection highlighting other parks to sell, with the proceeds benefiting the Elkhart Parks department.
Truma North America started hosting an annual Earth Day clean-up in 2021 that has grown to include other members of the RV industry and the Elkhart community. Although litter clean-up will be a focus of the company’s monthly High Dive Park volunteer efforts, company employees will also assist with other projects throughout the year, including equipment maintenance, invasive species removal and landscaping.
While Truma North America’s park stewardship does not officially begin until 2024, Truma team members started to make an impact. Last week, over a dozen Truma employees spent their Friday afternoon working on various projects in High Dive Park, including setting up for the annual Fall pop-up market in High Dive Pavilion.
