Truma Displays Air Conditioner at Tampa Show

Truma North America will display its newest product at Tampa’s Florida RV SuperShow, scheduled for Jan. 19-23.

The Truma Aventa is the company’s first rooftop air conditioner exclusively for the North American market. The Aventa is a high-performance, high-efficiency option.

Nick Dunning, Truma North America business development manager, said the company’s research revealed the same air conditioners are being used in every RV, ranging from entry-level to luxury models.

“Our goal was to create an air conditioner that brings premium comfort and efficiency, Dunning said, “and enhances the overall experience for the end-user.”

The Aventa achieves fast, energy-efficient cooling. Truma identified the “Comfort Zone” as the ideal balance between temperature and relative humidity inside the RV. In head-to-head testing, the Aventa reached Truma’s Comfort Zone in two hours by reducing humidity as it cooled. The competitor unit was unable to achieve the desired temperature and humidity within a six-hour testing time.

By reducing humidity as well as temperature, the Aventa can maintain desired interior temperatures using lower fan speed. This, in turn, reduces the interior and exterior noise associated with traditional rooftop air conditioners. Truma said the ultra-quiet Aventa will not disrupt campsite tranquility or disturb campground neighbors.

The RV supplier stated Aventa requires low energy consumption. This enables RV owners to keep cool without a large current draw. The system is efficient enough to work with lithium-ion systems.

The Truma Aventa can be seen on select 2022 RVs and at the Truma booth, 680 E Midway, at the Florida RV SuperShow at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
