Truma Unveils Enhanced Appliance

Truma released its first gasoline-powered system for North America. The Truma Combi G is a single-fuel alternative to the propane-powered Truma Combi water heater and furnace combo.

Truma North America Head of Business Development Nick Dunning said Type B and C motorhome consumers will be able to heat their living area and water using the same gasoline from their vehicle. The feature removes the need for a second fuel source.

“Many RV manufacturers we partner with are moving towards fully electric RVs,” Dunning said. “Removing propane from the equation is a step in that direction.”

The appliance includes a built-in high-altitude kit for automatic high-altitude adjustment, enabling the system to perform at high elevations without additional parts.

The Truma Combi G comfort and comfort plus models will be available for OEMs this fall. The product is compatible with Ford and Dodge chassis.

The appliance has the same footprint as the Truma Combi models.

Combi G tester George Larson said, “The thought of not having to search for a decent source of propane takes away one of the ‘micro’ stresses that one experiences living on the road.”
