Truck System Technologies launched a tire and wheel policy that is non-cancellable if the vehicle’s tire pressure monitoring systems fail. The policy was unveiled at the Brown & Brown Dealer Services F&I School this month.
Under the policy, if the TPMS fails, the policy will pay for the tire and wheel repair. It also provides some coverage for roadside assistance — enough to cover damages beyond the tire and wheel if such damages occur.
“The safety coverage TST provides is the first stop to stopping catastrophic failures,” said Shawn Moran, director of F&I RV training at Brown & Brown. “If we can stop blowouts now we can have a really good, positive customer experience.”
Moran announced the TPMS non-cancelable tire and wheel policy during November F&I training at Brown & Brown. He also announced an additional non-cancelable policy that includes MultiSeal Tire Sealant plus TPMS. TST partnered with Brown & Brown and Multi-Seal to provide coverage for TPMS sensors to be covered in case the TPMS sensor would be damaged by the Multi-Seal product added into the tire.
Bear Musgrave, vice president of Pressure Systems International and business unit director of Truck System Technologies (TST), along with Mike Benson, National Sales Manager of TST, presented TST’s factory installed and aftermarket systems to a group of Brown and Brown Financing and Insurance managers who had assembled for a few days of F&I training.
In the following days during the RV Dealers Association Convention and Expo in Las Vegas, additional announcements were made to dealers.
TST’s TPMS is approved for use on all lines of Forest River and Thor Industries RV’s. TST is currently OEM installed on many of those lines.
