The Recreational Vehicle Service Academy (RVSA) will be offering its 10-week (basic) Motorhome and Travel Trailer Repair technician training program from March 23 to May 29, 2020. Classes are held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with a half hour for lunch.

The course will cover electricity, LP gas, plumbing, brakes and wiring, appliances, accessories, hitches, water systems, AC and furnaces, generators, pre-delivery inspection, slide-outs and body damage and other topics.

Two 2020 Classes Remain

Currently, the academy is only offering this program three times per year. The final class for 2020 will run from Sept. 7 to Nov 13. The program provides 400 hours of classroom and hands-on training. The school accepts a maximum of 35 students per session.

RVSA is located a 5,600-square-foot building with a classroom and shop in Palmetto, Florida. The academy is a short drive to hotels and walking distance to a campground and restaurants.
