Participants will review theory and operation of Coleman and Dometic brand air conditioners and heat pumps. Additionally, attendees will learn about RV temperature controls and thermostats and how to read wiring diagrams. Testing points for low-voltage controls and AC power voltages will also be reviewed.

Hands-on labs will explore component identification, fan motors, compressors, overload thermal protection switches and circuit and component testing. Start and run capacitors, reversing valves, freeze control thermistors, control modules, thermostats and manual selector switches will also be explored.

Attendees need to have completed the prerequisite basic RV training class to participate in this or other advanced classes.
