On Friday, Dec. 17, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals put the federal government’s vaccine and testing mandate rule back in play. The court lifted an earlier stay by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, allowing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to reinstate compliance deadlines.
A battle in the appellate courts had stunted the government’s ability to implement OSHA’s large employer mandate.
But there is not a clear path forward, as several petitions looking to block the rule have already been filed at the Supreme Court.
