Webinar Addresses Federal Agency Rule’s RV Effect

A picture of a young woman wearing earphones joining in on a webinar and taking notes.

RVIA will host a webinar June 25 on the Environmental Protection Agency’s rulemaking regarding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAs).

The chemicals are found in many RV items including carpets/rugs, upholstery, fabric treatments, cleaning products and adhesives.

Experts Adam Troutwine and Jake Levin from RVIA’s federal lobbying firm Polsinelli will lead the webinar.

The EPA’s PFAs rules were finalized in October. The rules contain broad federal recordkeeping and reporting requirements. Companies who manufacture or import products with PFAs since Jan. 1, 2011, are required to provide reporting. Reports are due in the summer of 2025.

The webinar will provide attendees with a brief overview of the rules, convey important deadlines and information regarding RV industry compliance, discuss potential rules to come and evaluate companies’ risks.

The webinar is open to RVIA members only. Members can register for the event by clicking here.
