A new administration has taken control of Washington, and new tariffs have been introduced and are expected to grow in the coming months.
Still, the quarterly wholesale RV shipment forecast prepared by ITR Economics for RVIA remains similar to the previous quarter’s total.
The Spring 2025 RV RoadSigns edition projects shipments ranging from 333,400 RVs to 366,800 RVs in 2025. The median forecast is 350,100 RV shipments.
In December’s Winter RV RoadSigns forecast, shipments ranged from 329,900 and 362,300 RVs with a median of 346,100.
RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said the association was cautiously optimistic the industry would grow over the course of the year.
“Interest rates continue to be a challenge,” Kirby said, “but there are green shoots for the market, including continued consumer interest in RVing, creating a positive overall retail environment.”
The 350,100 median total would be a 5% increase over the 333,700 wholesale RV shipments in 2024. The total happens to be the same forecast from the 2023 Winter RV RoadSigns edition, issued in December 2023, that overestimated 2024 shipments.
The Spring 2025 forecast projects 313,300 towable RV shipments, up 4.8% from 2024 levels. Motorhome shipments are projected to reach 36,800 RVs, up 5.5% from 2024 levels.
