RVIA’s October 2023 survey of manufacturers found wholesale RV shipments increasing from September levels but remaining down from October 2022 shipments.
The report found October 2023 wholesale RV shipments totaling 28,371. The total is down 13.1% from October 2022 levels. However, it is up nearly 15% from the 24,700 shipments in September 2023.
RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby noted the association’s latest research on winter RVing plans, showing a 30% increase in holiday travel intentions from 2022.
“With sustained and increased RV usage from the many new RVers who entered the lifestyle over the past few years,” Kirby said, “it isclear our industry is delivering an incredible way for friends and families to enjoy the holidays together in the great outdoors.”
Towable RVs posted 24,825 shipments in October, down 9.2% from October 2022 levels. Motorized RV shipments totaled 3,546, down 33.4% from October 2022.
Through the first 10 months of 2023, wholesale RV shipments total 266,492, down 40.6% from the first 10 months of 2022.
