For the first time in 18 months, RVIA reported wholesale RV shipments increased compared with the same month a year earlier.
RVIA’s November 2023 manufacturer survey reported total wholesale RV shipments at 25,160. Shipments increased 2.8% compared with the 24,470 shipments registered in November 2022.
To date, RV shipments are down -38.4% with 291,652 shipments.
RVIA President and CEO Craig Kirby said, “Coming off of the holidays, we are encouraged by reports of increased RV vacations and campground reservations throughout the winter months.”
Towables were up 4.4% from November 2022 with 21,429 shipments. Motorhomes were down 5.4% at 3,731 compared with November 2022.
“As we enter 2024, there are signs pointing to increases in RV shipments and retail sales,” Kirby said, “particularly in the latter half of the year as RV usage remains high and there are expected improvements to the macroeconomic environment this year.”
