Windish RV Taps Next Generation Leadership

More than 25 years after she took control of Windish RV, Carolyn Windish Irwin will retire. The company’s next president, though, is a familiar face to Irwin.

Whitney Holtz was promoted to company president upon the retirement of Irwin, Holtz’s mother, the dealership announced. Holtz becomes the third generation of the family to lead the Colorado-based dealer since it was founded in 1965.

“My father would be so proud that Whitney is carrying on as the third generation to oversee and lead our family-owned and operated business,” Irwin said. “Multigenerational family businesses are few and far between these days, so I could not be more thrilled and excited that my daughter can continue to add more customers and staff to the Windish RV family.”

Dale Windish founded the company and ran the dealership for 30 years until Irwin took charge in 1995. Since that time, Irwin grew the business from a single location to three stores and one of the largest RV dealerships in the state.

Holtz is a Colorado native who has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Denver. Holtz previously worked in marketing and communications strategy for TTEC.

“I am honored to take on this role and proud to carry on the family legacy,” Holtz said. “We have an amazing team at Windish RV and I am excited to help take our dealership to the next level.”

“It is extremely important to our company that we continue to remain a family-owned and operated business,” Windish RV General Manager Corey Shaw said. “Whitney brings a unique fresh perspective and many innovative ideas from her experience outside the RV industry.”
